Xinjiang Institute of engineering is an engineering college located in Urumqi, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. It is a new engineering research and practice project selected university.The college was founded in 1958. At the beginning of its establishment, it was Xinjiang coal mining school. After going through Xinjiang coal mining college, Urumqi coal mining school and Xinjiang coal college, it was renamed Xinjiang Industrial College in 1994 and upgraded to Xinjiang Institute of Engineering with the approval of the Ministry of education in March 2012.According to the official website of the University in May 2019, the University covers a total area of 2032 mu, with four campuses, 13 secondary colleges, 33 undergraduate majors and 22 junior college enrollment majors, more than 900 teaching staff, including 591 full-time teachers, and nearly 15000 full-time students.
