Gansu University of political science and law is a provincial Undergraduate College of political science and law in Gansu Province. It is the earliest provincial Undergraduate College of political science and law in China. After several times of merger and relocation, it has gone through several stages: Gansu administrative cadre school, Beiwan Wuqi cadre school, and reconstruction of Gansu Political and legal cadre training school. In 1982, Gansu Provincial Political and legal cadre training school was officially moved from Beiwan, Jingyuan County to its current site. In 1984, Gansu Institute of political science and law was established on the basis of Gansu provincial training school for political and legal cadres to provide general higher education. In 2004, Gansu national defense technology and industry school was incorporated into Gansu University of political science and law. In June 2019, it was renamed Gansu University of political science and law.As of January 2019, the university has three campuses, covering an area of 1066.59 mu, with 397700 square meters of building area, 168500 square meters of teaching and scientific research administrative room, 69.1012 million yuan of teaching and scientific research equipment, 1263100 paper books and 808000 e-books, 894 teaching staff and 11021 full-time students (including 10145 undergraduates and Masters) There are 12 secondary colleges and 34 undergraduate programs; there are 3 first-class master degree programs, 17 second-class master degree programs and 4 professional master degree programs.
