Yunnan Arts University, which is located in Chuncheng Kunming, is a comprehensive higher art college in Southwest China.The college was founded in 1959. In 1963, Yunnan art college was abolished and transferred to the Art Department of Kunming Normal University. In 1980, Yunnan Academy of Arts officially separated from Kunming Normal University and became an independent school running institution.According to the official website of the college in December 2018, the college covers an area of 800 mu, with 11 teaching units, a total of 39 undergraduate majors, 6 first-class discipline master's degree awarding points, 8 master's degree awarding rights in professional fields of art, and master's degree awarding rights in industrial design; there are 694 formal staff and 12071 full-time students (including 740 master's degree graduates) There are 10918 undergraduates and 413 junior college students.
