Guizhou Education University, located in Wudang District of Guiyang City, is a provincial public full-time regular undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of education of the people's Republic of China.Guizhou Institute of education, the predecessor of the University, was established in 1978. With the approval of the Ministry of education of the people's Republic of China, it was transformed into a full-time undergraduate university in March 2009.As of March 2020, the campus covers an area of 1169 mu, with a collection of 923900 paper books and 1385800 e-books. The total value of teaching and research equipment is 83.6269 million yuan. There are 18 teaching units with 46 undergraduate majors. There are 1096 teaching staff, including 438 associate professors and above, and 13559 full-time students.
