Liupanshui Normal University is located in Liupanshui City, Guizhou Province. It is a full-time regular undergraduate university with the management system of "co construction of provinces and cities, city oriented". In December 2015, it was identified by Guizhou Provincial Department of education as a pilot school for the transformation and development of ordinary undergraduate universities in Guizhou Province to application-oriented universities. In 2017, it was selected as the pilot University of data China's "hundred schools project".The predecessor of Liupanshui Normal College is Liupanshui Junior College of Guiyang normal college established in 1978; Liupanshui Normal College was established in 1985; it was renamed Liupanshui Normal College in 1993; Liupanshui Normal School and Liupanshui sports school were merged into Liupanshui Normal College in 2003 and 2006; Liupanshui Normal College was approved by the Ministry of education in March 2009 Panshui teachers college was upgraded to Liupanshui Teachers College.As of March 2017, the college covers an area of 1310 mu, with a construction area of 360000 square meters, a total value of 60 million yuan in teaching and research equipment, a collection of 1 million books, and nine experimental centers (rooms). There are 739 staff and 493 teachers, including 41 professors and 226 associate professors, 6826 full-time college students and more than 2000 adult education students. It has 13 secondary colleges, 1 Ministry of adult education, 37 undergraduate majors and professional directions, and 12 specialized majors, covering 10 disciplines such as engineering, science, education and literature.
