Zunyi Normal University, located in Zunyi City, Guizhou Province, is a Provincial Normal University approved by the Ministry of education. He joined the red classic art education demonstration base of the Ministry of education and the first batch of characteristic cultural schools in Guizhou Province.The predecessor of Zunyi Normal University is Zunyi Junior Normal School founded in 1907. In 1949, it was renamed Zunyi Normal School of Guizhou Province. In July 1958, Zunyi teachers college was established. In June 1993, it was upgraded to Zunyi teachers college. In 2001, Zunyi teachers college was upgraded to Zunyi teachers college. In 2008, Zunyi Normal University (Nanbai branch), Zunyi Normal University (Huichuan branch) and Guizhou Nanbai normal school were merged into Zunyi Normal University.As of July 2019, the school is located in the center of Xinpu New Area University Town, covering an area of more than 2100 mu, of which 1000 mu has been completed in the North District (1100 mu in the south district is under planning), with a total construction area of 900000 square meters. There are 1157 teaching staff and 834 full-time teachers. There are 15507 full-time students, including 12661 undergraduate students (including 120 undergraduate students). There are 18 secondary colleges (Teaching Department), 50 general and junior college majors, covering 9 university disciplines, such as arts, science, engineering, management and agriculture, and 13 scientific research teams, 26 scientific research bases and 16 research institutes.
