Neijiang Normal University is a local undergraduate Normal University in Sichuan Province, which focuses on Teacher Education and develops in a coordinated way in literature, science, education, management, history, law, engineering, economics, art, agriculture and other disciplines. It has been selected into the excellent teacher education and training plan of Sichuan Province, and is the governing unit of South Sichuan University Alliance.Its predecessor is Neijiang Normal College and former Neijiang Institute of education. Neijiang Teachers College was founded in 1956 and Neijiang Education College in 1958. In March 2000, Neijiang Normal College was established on the basis of former Neijiang Normal College and former Neijiang education college.As of May 2019, the University covers an area of 3122 mu, with a total value of nearly 200 million yuan in teaching and scientific research instruments and equipment, and 1.844 million books and materials; it has 19 secondary colleges, 61 undergraduate majors, including 16 normal majors; it has 1145 teaching staff, and nearly 19000 full-time college students, international students and graduate students.
