Nanning College for vocational technology is a full-time comprehensive higher vocational college founded by Nanning Municipal People's government and jointly built by districts and cities.Its predecessor is Nanning Vocational University, which was founded in 1984. In 1999, it merged with Nanning radio and Television University, Nanning Institute of education, Nanning construction technical school and Nanning normal school. In December 2009, it became one of the first batch of national model vocational colleges. In August 2016, it was selected as the second batch of national modern apprenticeship pilot units.As of December 2014, the school covers an area of more than 1.24 million square meters, with a total construction area of more than 490000 square meters, teaching and research and auxiliary rooms of more than 260000 square meters, with a total fixed asset value of more than 1 billion yuan, including teaching and research equipment assets of 180 million yuan, nine secondary colleges, 68 higher vocational colleges, a total of 909000 paper books and 504000 e-books in the library 0GB, 916 teachers and 16147 full-time vocational students. In December 2019, it was listed as the third type of high-level school construction unit (grade C) by the Ministry of education and the Ministry of finance.
