Fujian Jiangxia university is a provincial public college organized by the people's Government of Fujian Province. It was formally established in March 2010 on the basis of Fujian financial vocational and technical college, Fujian finance and Accounting Management Cadre College, Fujian political and Legal Management Cadre College and Fujian Economic Management Cadre College.As of November 2018, the school covers an area of 1388.4 mu. There are 12 secondary colleges and 3 teaching departments. It has 38 undergraduate majors, covering 20 first-class disciplines and 7 disciplines including economics, management, law, engineering, science and art. There are 757 full-time teachers and 14973 full-time students.Mr. Huang Rulun, chairman of the board of directors of century Jinyuan group, donated 460 million yuan to support the construction of the new campus. From 2010 to 2014, a total of 635 million yuan (148 million yuan from the provincial government, 230 million yuan from Mr. Huang Rulun's second phase donation and 257 million yuan from the old campus Replacement Fund) was invested in the construction and development of the school.
