Xiamen University Tan Kah Kee college, founded in 2003, is an independent college jointly organized by Xiamen University and Xiamen Kah Kee Education Development Co., Ltd. with the approval of the Ministry of education. It is located in Zhangzhou campus of Xiamen University, across the sea from Siming campus of Xiamen University, covering an area of 2568 Mu and a building area of 630000 square meters.As of December 2019, the University covers an area of 2726 mu; it has 12 colleges, 2 independent departments, 3 teaching departments, 2 practical teaching training centers and 1 scientific research center; it has 52 undergraduate majors with 82 professional directions; it has about 19000 undergraduates and 75 postgraduates (jointly trained with Xiamen University); and it has a teaching team composed of more than 900 full-time and part-time teachers.
