Minnan Normal University, located in Zhangzhou City, Fujian Province, is a key construction university in Fujian Province, a first-class discipline construction university in Fujian Province, and a doctoral degree awarding unit (serving the national special needs of doctoral personnel training project).The school was developed from the normal college class established by Longxi Normal School in the spring of 1958. In 1963, it participated in the merger and establishment of Fujian No.2 Normal University. In 1986, it was approved by the former State Education Commission to resume Fujian No.2 Normal University and renamed Zhangzhou Normal University. In 2003, it was granted the right of master's degree. In April 2013, it was renamed Minnan Normal University. In January 2018, the university added a new list of doctoral degree awarding and cultivating units in Fujian Province from 2018 to 2020. In 2018, Zhangzhou agricultural school was incorporated into Minnan Normal University and established as Yuanshan campus of Minnan Normal University.As of January 2018, the university has two campuses, beijiangbin and Yuanshan, covering a total area of 1834 mu, with a building area of 591400 square meters, and a total value of about 186 million yuan in teaching and scientific research equipment. As of October 2019, the university has 18 colleges, 66 undergraduate majors (data in March 2020), 4 first-class master's degree awarding points, 5 Master's degree awarding points, and 4 doctoral talents training points It's the direction.
