Minjiang University (mju) is located in Fuzhou City, Fujian Province. The university is a public institution of higher learning sponsored by the people's Government of Fujian Province, a key construction university in Fujian Province, a pilot University of professional master's degree education of "serving the special needs of the country", a first-class discipline construction university in Fujian Province, one of the "first batch of demonstration universities of deepening innovation and entrepreneurship education reform" in Fujian Province, and selected into the national "double ten thousand plan".Its predecessor is Fuzhou normal college founded in 1958 and Minjiang Vocational University founded in 1984. In January 2018, the university added "Fujian Province 2018-2020 master's degree award project construction list".As of September 2019, the university has four campuses, with a total area of more than 2245 mu, a total building area of 541600 square meters, 1.8904 million paper books and 1.4017 million e-books; it has 15 colleges (departments), 1 master's program authorization point serving national special needs projects, 61 undergraduate programs, more than 1000 full-time teachers and 16500 full-time students 。
