Huaibei Normal University, referred to as Huaibei Normal University, is a multi-disciplinary provincial key university. It has been selected into the basic capacity-building project (phase II) of universities in central and Western China and the peak discipline construction plan of Anhui Province.The school was established in 1974 as Huaibei branch of Anhui Normal University; in December 1978, it was approved by the State Council and named Huaibei Coal Normal University, subordinate to the former Ministry of coal industry; in September 1998, it implemented the management system of "central and local co construction, with Anhui Province as the main management"; in March 2010, it was approved by the Ministry of education and renamed Huaibei Normal University.According to the official website of the University in June 2018, the university has two campuses, Xiangshan and Binhu, covering an area of more than 3000 mu, with a building area of 740000 square meters; more than 4.2 million Chinese and foreign paper books and electronic documents; more than 27000 teaching and scientific research instruments and equipment, with a total value of 227 million yuan; 18 colleges and 82 undergraduate majors; 15 first-class master's degree authorization points and 7 professional courses There are more than 1100 full-time teachers.
