Chifeng university is a multi-disciplinary and comprehensive undergraduate university approved by the Ministry of education of the people's Republic of China. It has been selected into the pilot project of comprehensive reform at the level of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and is the governing unit of China Entrepreneurship Education Alliance of UNESCO.In April 2003, Chifeng and Chifeng Teachers College of Inner Mongolia were merged into Chifeng and Chifeng teachers college. The college was born in Chifeng City, the birthplace of the world-famous "red mountain culture".As of November 2018, the school has a total area of 1112 mu, a construction area of 233800 square meters and a total asset value of 1.043 billion yuan. The school has 43 institutions, two master's degree awarding centers of cultural relics and Museum, and education, and 55 undergraduate majors and some higher vocational majors. There are 13123 full-time students, including 11618 undergraduates, 1330 junior college students and 68 postgraduates.
