Inner Mongolia Normal University University, located in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is the first comprehensive Normal University established in the frontier minority areas after the founding of new China. In August 1953, Inner Mongolia Teachers College, which was merged by Zhangjiakou Teachers College and Suiyuan Teachers College, was merged. In 1982, the University changed its name to "Inner Mongolia Normal University" and was identified as a key university in the autonomous region. In July 2000, Inner Mongolia Institute of education was incorporated.As of January 2020, the school has Saihan campus and Shengle campus, covering a total area of more than 3800 mu. The building area of the school is more than 900000 square meters. The total value of fixed assets is more than 2.8 billion yuan, of which the total value of teaching equipment is more than 520 million yuan. On July 31, 2019, the 19th national college students' track and field championship closed in Shengle campus of Inner Mongolia Normal University.
