Xinzhou Teachers University is located in Xinzhou City, Shanxi Province. It is a provincial full-time regular undergraduate college with eight disciplines including law, teaching, literature, history, science, engineering, management and art. The university is the construction unit of master's degree in Shanxi Province, the first batch of national "Talent Training Mode Innovation Experimental Zone" determined by the Ministry of education and the Ministry of finance, and the "national advanced unit of" two bases "work.The predecessor of the college can be traced back to Xinxian normal college, which was founded in 1958. In 1984, it was renamed Xinzhou normal college. In 1998, it merged with Xinzhou Education College, Xinzhou staff and workers University and Xinzhou branch of Shanxi Radio and Television University to form Xinzhou normal college. In 2000, with the approval of the Ministry of education, Xinzhou Teachers College and Xinzhou Teachers College were merged to build Xinzhou Teachers College.As of October 2019, the college has five campuses, covering a total area of about 1574.33 mu, 26 teaching units, 43 undergraduate majors, 19565 full-time students and 1269 teaching staff.
