Taiyuan Normal University Taiyuan Normal University, short for "Taiyuan Normal University", located in Jinzhong City and Taiyuan city of Shanxi Province, is a provincial full-time regular undergraduate university with a major of normal education, covering nine university disciplines, including economics, law, education, literature, history, science, engineering, management and art. It was selected as the National College Students' cultural quality education base in 2013 The Ministry of education has agreed that the university will officially become a master's degree granting authority unit.Taiyuan Normal University, approved by the Ministry of education in March 1999, is a combination of Shanxi Normal University, Taiyuan Normal College and Shanxi Education College, which were established in 1988, 1958 and 1929 respectively. In 2013, the University obtained the right to confer master's degree. In 2017, the University was officially included in the provincial doctoral project construction unit of Shanxi Province.As of September 2019, the university has four campuses, namely the new campus, the middle campus, the South Campus and the north campus, with a total area of 1884 Mu and a total construction area of about 550000 square meters; there are 1036 full-time teachers, including 110 professors and 325 associate professors; there are 20 colleges and departments, with 56 undergraduate majors and directions; there are more than 24000 undergraduates and nearly 500 master students.
