Beihua Institute of aerospace technology, located in Langfang City, Hebei Province, is a University jointly built by the State Administration of science and technology for national defense, China Aerospace Science and Technology Group Co., Ltd., China Aerospace Science and Industry Group Co., Ltd., and Hebei Provincial People's government. It has been selected into the 2011 plan of Hebei Province, the construction site of characteristic specialties of colleges and universities, the National College Students' innovation and entrepreneurship training plan, and the data China "hundred school project" CDIO Engineering Education Alliance and Applied Technology University (College) alliance member units, "13th five year plan" application-oriented undergraduate industry education integration development engineering construction universities, master's degree awarding units approved by the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council, master's professional degree pilot units serving national special needs talent training projects, Hebei academician workstation construction units, Hebei Applied Technology University President of the Research Association, a pilot University for transformation and development in Hebei Province.The school was founded in 1978, formerly known as Langfang precision machinery industry school. In May 1983, it was established as the staff University of aerospace industry. In August 1984, it was renamed as North China Aerospace Industry School. In November 1985, the University was transformed into an ordinary college of higher engineering and named North China Institute of aerospace technology. It is subordinate to the eighth General Administration of machinery industry, the seventh Ministry of machinery industry, the Ministry of aerospace industry, the Ministry of aerospace industry and the Aerospace Industry Corporation. In 1999, it was transferred to Hebei Province to implement the management system of "co construction between the central and local governments, with local management as the main". In July 2004, the Ministry of Education officially approved China to be upgraded to an ordinary undergraduate university and renamed Beihua Institute of aerospace technology.According to the official website of the University in April 2020, the University covers an area of nearly 800 mu, which is divided into East and West campuses, with a total construction area of 360000 square meters; it has a collection of more than 1 million paper books; it has 14 teaching units and 42 undergraduate majors; it has a master's degree program of first-class discipline and two master's degree programs; it has nearly 1000 teaching staff; and it has more than 12000 full-time graduate students and ordinary college students.
