Langfang Normal University, located in Langfang City, Hebei Province, is a provincial full-time undergraduate college.In 2000, with the approval of the Ministry of education, Langfang normal college, Langfang Education College and Langfang normal school were merged to establish Langfang normal college; in December 2004, with the approval of Hebei provincial government, Langfang normal college was merged with Hebei Vocational and technical college to form a new Langfang normal college. Langfang normal college originated from the simple normal school of anci county established in 1946. After adjustment and development, it was renamed Langfang normal college in 1964. Langfang normal school originated from Jixian Junior Normal School established in 1950. After adjustment and development, it was renamed Langfang normal school in 1989. Langfang Institute of education was established in 1978. Hebei Vocational and technical college originated from the May 7th Cadre School of the Ministry of light industry established in 1969. After adjustment and development, it was renamed as Hebei Vocational and technical college in 1999. In 2003, the Township Enterprise Management Cadre College of the Ministry of agriculture was merged into Hebei Vocational and technical college.According to the information on the school's official website in February 2020, the school has two campuses, Langfang and Gu'an, covering an area of nearly 1800 mu, with a construction area of 450000 square meters; the school has nearly 20000 full-time undergraduate and junior college students, and more than 1400 teaching staff; the school has 16 secondary colleges (departments), with 62 specialties and 40 Higher Vocational Specialties.
